In the Sarah B. Smith Gallery: Karen Blair, Priscilla Long Whitlock, Jessie Coles, known for large colorful landscape and still life works, these painters are well represented in collections throughout the South and up and down the Eastern Seaboard. Three distinct styles will be on display with many elements uniting the art. Whitlock, Coles and Blair are all exploring the boundaries between realism and abstraction and it is that process of discovery that interests them. The three McGuffey Members, along with Krista Townsend who is showing in the Lower Hall South Gallery, will speak at a Brown Bag Lunch on Wednesday, May 8 at noon.
