In the MAIN GALLERY, Jeff Thruston will be exhibiting Vessels. This show is about combining mediums of stone and imagery. The artist had this to say as to why he chose to work with stone and photography: "I love the properties of stone such as: weight, shadow, and form. I also love the
properties of a photograph such as drama, emotion, and space. By carving stone and transferring a photograph into the stone I'm combining these mediums and creating a sculptural object that blurs the lines between sculpture and photography".

In the DOWNSTAIRS and UPSTAIRS GALLERIES, McGuffey Art Center is pleased to present the annual Summer Group Show. This exciting and eclectic show features the work of more than 50 artists showcasing a wide range of media
and technique; the perfect show for the long hot days of summer.
