David Borszich on his show, Fragments Beneath: The Drift of Time & Tech,

“My work delves into the life cycles of the inanimate, exploring how objects, once pristine and full of purpose, gradually devolve into the bins of outdated technology. I gather these remnants—discarded phones, MP3 and CD players, and worn-out wires—transforming them into intricate collages that evoke the silent depths of the sea. Each piece is a meditation on the relentless march of time, capturing the beauty found in decay and the poetry within the broken.

Though my work reflects on themes of entropy and the inevitable decline of all things, it also serves as a subtle commentary on the impact of humanity’s quest for progress. The sea-like landscapes in my collages, filled with the detritus of modern technology, are a reminder of the delicate balance between creation and destruction. My intention is not to preach but to invite reflection, allowing the viewer to find their own meaning within the ruins. Enjoy the journey…”
